Why building an own webpage?

No - I am not getting married or father. Most often this might be the reason for a private homepage.

I wanted to learn more about html, java and webdesign. So my goals were not just these sites but also the way of building it properly. But I still have quite a lot to learn... especially with my friend - the Netscape Browser ;-).

In addition I wanted to keep in touch with my friends - especially those one abroad - and show them what's going on in my life. And what better way than a webpage is there for it?

Talking to a friend about my plan to build this site he advised me not to use a menu bar. Rather I ought to use only links. That way the site is supposed to get more interesting. Well, I tried it and now you have to decide if you like it...
In case you are getting lost and want to get an overview of all pages, there is still the sitemap link on bottom-right.

If there is a flag on top-right, the site is also translated into another language. Click on it to change the language.

Windows with pictures can be closed just by clicking on the picture. And at last a little hint: The easiest way to get back on the homepage is by clicking on the logo on top.

To show you which links are related to an external site or which one will open a picutre, I have added some symbols:
Picture  Link will open a picture
External Link  Link will bring you to an external web site
Download  Link will start a download
